Answer to June 2003
WHAT IS IT?

Three prizes were given out for the June 2003 "WHAT IS IT?" because the first three correct answers that were received came in so closely to one another
. Mark Albert and Katie Ward, both 2003 graduates of the College, were the first two to respond correctly. Christy Ann Lewis, another relatively recent graduate of the College, was third person to respond correctly.

Pictured above is what was known as "Gobbel's Lake". During his tenure as the College's president, Dr. Gobbel had a dam built across one of the small branches on campus, thereby creating a fairly small and shallow "lake" on back campus in the general vicinity of the Student Center and Hanes Gymnasium.
