Answer to May 2003
WHAT IS IT?

The prize for the May 2003 "WHAT IS IT?" goes to Jacqueline Oates, Office Manager in the Life Enrichment Center.

Pictured above is Mr. Roy Phillips the College's chief cook from around 1920 to 1960. Roy was the creator of a dessert known as the "GC Special." (recipe copies are available in the museum) Roy and his wife, Katie, touched the lives of many students during their long tenure here at the College.
